I had to look that second one up.... "Llanite is a hypabyssally intruded rhyolite with phenocrysts of microcline and euhedral quartz."
Wow.
Need more coffee to read that one. Thankfully, for your heart, I can just say "PRETTY ROCK!"

You really giving one to Heart? Saw them in concert on Panama City beach. They were great. I've always really like Heart alot- Joan Jett, too. The hearts are great! They would make fine gifts.

Yes Tela ! Its major goal of mine! They have shown up every season I been grinding rock'n hearts. I just never have been ready. Last year I came close. I even went down to the theatre. Because the other thing I want to do is hawk hearts out side at the show. That will help w/the 100 dollar+ tickets and start a trend. Yep I’ll end up touring with the band and be the official rock heart guy. I mean…if I don’t have a market at a Heart concert for rock’n hearts… then I making them for what …. vanity? I do desire to have the rock’n heart take off. Anyway I chickened out last year and walked away. Then I started kicking myself. Why didn’t I take out the box of hearts and hawk a few at least? O well…this year I’m in better shape financially and have sufficient heart stock. Plus were never to old to rock'nroll but we are rolling downhill Whether I can get 2 hearts to the sisters remains to be seen. It’s complicated. And I really am nervous? about presenting a less than great heart to such rock luminaries. But ya know… just got go…. from the heart on things like this.

Very nice. Do you have a site? Thanks hailitedigger. No site yet. I imagine after the Heart concert I will Ha Ha Hopefully this summer I'll get a web site together, That is another goal. I show these hearts to client at work. They always enquire about price/ purchasing. If I had a web site w/ business cards I'd probably get lots of hits. Word of mouth advertising...mostly

Those are gorgeous! Sadly your Llanite is mis-identified. Llanite is blue-ish and orange with a brown background. No white in the background. Llanite sphere - stone hand collected in Llano, TX by rockncajunI have no clue what that stone is. I am sorry to not be more helpful!

I'm going to have to grind more coffee beans over that revelation Scott
I bought that stone a couple years ago at the Flagg show from Val Latham I recall him telling me that it was llanite. He's a major vendor. He may be wrong.
And I just saw him this weekend at another rock & gem show I attended in Anthem I noticed he had more of those slabs Unfortunately I didn't purchase more long BIG story mostly I will admit my llanite makes a better heart than the orangeish stuff

I'm going to toss in a SECOND! for the Etsy shop. It's really easy and you don't have to fuss over it too much. (I have lots of nieces that are gettin' closer to rock-appreciation!)
