Wasn't sure where to post these, but thought this was a great place...(probably posted these before too-can't remember) I've told stories of my finds in North Dakota of arrowheads, scrapers and etc,but also of finding old horn drops and bones of the prehistoric buffalo... I was sifting through my stuff the other day and found some of the finds......All buffalo.. I also have a buffalo jaw pic too, might have to snap a new photo if I can't find the old photo...

those are great. I realize they aren't petrified, but can you tell how old they are? I found a horse/equine/other?? tooth that looks very old, but I can't find a way to guess.

They are great! I love picking up dropped antlers. Last year I found a baby badger skeleton in the woods. So I took its skull home and have it in my garden. The teeth are incredible. I must take some pictures.

In person, you can see the age on the horns,as for the bone,it has the feel and look of old bone, not even trying to deteriorate....-it even looks like it was in the first stages of starting to fossilize or agatize... I have smaller buffalo bones too....

I must take some pictures. While living in Montana and North Dakota,I shed hunted (Picking up dropped antlers)all the time for over 30 years....It was over the 1000 mark on my finds, mostly whitetail deer, mulie deer, elk and moose.... I sold most of my sheds every three years or so and made good money doing that....I sold to a broker who payed me well!!!! Made enough money on my deals to buy rifles, pistols, motorcycles and an airline ticket one time... Since I moved to Oregon, the shed hunting here is not as good,so I kind of gave up on it... I sold most of my collection, but still have some Red Deer Stag,Elk,Moose,Whitetail,Mulie,Reindeer,Caribou and Fallow Deer antlers... Plus two Buffalo skulls....Many deer skulls with the rack on them...
