Thanks for sharing the RTH rock hunt pics with us, roy! Looks like a great time and amazed at all the awesome materials that Clyde the rockhound dog found. Just kidding. Did the smoke from the fires bother y'all while out digging?

Pictures please! not to bad they found some good ones i did pick up a few there just not a real big fan of the stuff to be honest i wont be able to finish unloading the truck till this weekend due to work and football practice so by sunday i will get you the pictures !

not to bad they found some good ones i did pick up a few there just not a real big fan of the stuff to be honest Yeah I hear ya - it's real hit or miss (mostly miss) on quality. With a lot of digging and windowing I've come away with a few small rocks each time that are exceptionally gemmy with purples and reds. That works out great for me because I like to fiddle with small stuff as long as it can yield a beautiful cabochon or two but I can see that for someone who deals in rough rock it's not a real good average.

Nice trip roy, we almost hit mcdermitt on the way to the oregon coast last month and opted to hit Plush for sunstone instead. Great trip report and pics!
