I agree with you. To post a picture from an iPhone to FB, it takes two finger presses. To post on the forum, you have to save pictures to photobucket, get the link and then share. I wish the forum could make it easier to share photos

You all are whining about something that is very easy to do. You should see what it was like ten years ago to post a photo. You actually had to code the photo yourself and know how to do it the correct way.

You all are whining about something that is very easy to do. You should see what it was like ten years ago to post a photo. You actually had to code the photo yourself and know how to do it the correct way. In 1997 I used images to sell reptiles online. Stuff required - film camera, film, web space [domain name = $70/year!], scanner, photo editing software, FTP software [WS-FTP], text editor [notepad word does not work for this], html knowledge [html for dummies] and knowledge of all the other tech stuff utilized The process was this: Take your camera and insert a roll of film. Do the photography Take the exposed roll of film to the one hour photo lab Using your $350 scanner, scan the prints from the 1 hour place use the sh|tty photo editing software that came with the scanner save final image to hard drive fire up your FTP client browse to the correct folders on both the local drive and the web space highlight and upload the images remember the directory and filename for the photo open your text editor, write the html code to refer to your images open your browser and browse to the form, cut and paste your code into your listing ======================= Forgetting photography and the one hour wait at the photo lab, to place one image in an ad at www.kingsnake.com it took 90 minutes [if all went well, a rare occurrence]. If I did a batch, I could do 10 pics in 2:30 or so. Here is a link to my hand coded website circa 1997 Yeah, it's fugly. But the internet was mostly fugly at the time! If you are using photobucket, switch to flickr, it's a far better service.

Heck I remember gas being .25 cents a gallon, smokes were about the same price...Candy bars were a nickle,Pop a dime... Yuppers, some stuff we have come to be better with what we have, but worse on other things.... I feel sorry for this generation now, getting lazy from the electronics and not wanting to do the active things anymore!!! I have one brother that refuses to have computers and cellphones,I'm starting to see his logic now.... I do like digital though, will never go back to old school on that type of photography .....

I can remember the gas wars of the mid 50's when you could get gas for 14 cents a gallon. I could fill the tank in my Model A for $1.40.

My SIL just recently got her first cell phone, but only so she could text with the grandkids. Wouldn't even give us the number when she flew out recently. She said, "you don't need my number. If I get in trouble I have yours". lol
Microwave? Not so much.
Toaster? Toaster Oven? Why? The oven toasts bread on broil setting nicely. Why duplicate machines?
The irony is she derives her livelihood as a technical writer producing user manuals for very high end hardware and software products, online.

Still don't have a cell phone. I know they say is has no effect, but a friend of mine got brain cancer in his 30's right under where he always had his phone against his head. Fought the wife tooth and nail over computers and now would have a hard time doing without it. Still remember my first computer experience when our grad lab got a Cognito for computing bird statistics. We told it to take the square root of a negative number for fun and almost cooked the entire machine. It was about the size of a wash machine and the first Texas Instruments personal calculators were so expensive I could not afford one in college. Remember the old slide rules guys *L*?. That was the only calculator this kid could afford.....Mel

Lol funny you say this. I refuse technology myself other than my cellphone. It can be used for good but this day and age it isnt one bit. Sad what this world has become from all of it. I may be young but I was raised old fashion. Always outside even when it was -20 outside. Now it doesnt matter. Games/computers are cheap babysitter for most parents.
