I haven't been doing a lot of cabbing lately, but ran these through with some cabs of jamesp 's coral. Finished 'em up a week or so ago, some may have to go back, though.
1. Rainforest Jasper, picked up the slab in Quartzsite in January. Love the colors, but has some pits that need filling.
2A. Unknown purple from unknown
2B.
2C.
2D.
Three roughed out
3. Some kind of poppy jasper
4A. Stone Canyon Jasper
4B. Entered this in KCC for July
5. Also Stone Canyon, from same slab. Sorry for blurry pic, this is less than 3/4" for making a ring.
6A. Unknown This also has a few pits.
6B.
6C.
7. A thin cab of purple "goldstone"
8A. Autumn Hope, I think this is out of Oregon. This was new at Quartzsite this year. Nice colors, takes a good shine, but lots of fractures to work around.
8B. Color makes me think of a Blue Merle dog
9. Some kind of mossy agate
10. Moss Agate, from same slab as above
11. Not sure what this is. I thought maybe onyx? Purple at bottom left is fluorite
12. Gem silica
13. Last, but not least, my favorite - a little oval out of rhodochrosite. Rough was from @shotgunner.
That's it for cabs for now. Thanks for looking. Jean

Jean's cabs are el perfecto. That girl is a CNC machine. The symmetry and shape is bang on. The height of the rim edge must be within .000001".
CNC Jean. Those are beauties.

Thank you, James. Did I tell you I use a micrometer when I'm doing them? Just kidding... For some reason, I had a lot of thin ones in that batch.
Thanks, Jim. Like I said, I don't get to them often enough, it seems I always find something else to do with me time. I don't cab very fast (definitely NOT 20 minutes per cab, at least triple or four times that) if you spend a lot of time on them, you should be able to turn out some nice stuff. I just don't crank them out.
Mel, I like that one, too. If you don't know what it is, I guess I'm never going to find out, lol.

Beautiful work Jean I didn't even know you cabbed heehee. Love the freeform stone canyon *gorgeous* Didn't I send you some mcdermitt purple slabettes recently? Could your purple one be from that? I have a bad case of CRS (can't remember sh*t).

Thank you, Tommy. Yes, I do cab, if you can call it that. I like think of it as "Slo' cabbing." Not terribly efficient with me time cabbing - especially when I end up taking half the cabs back a few grits. Grrrrr.
CRS - Yeah, I have that affliction, too. You know, @shotgunner has gotten to the point that he tells me not to send him any more rough. Yet, whenever he sends me something, he always loads the box up. Go figure...
I think that particular cab in question came from a rock I slabbed. Probably got the rough at an estate sale.
I believe this is the one you sent to me. But don't quote me, I could be wrong.
So many rocks, so little time... Anyway, I hope you enjoyed them. Do you have any idea what that blue/red one is?

Yeah that's it ... my precious ... I needs it back .... we loves our precious
The blue/red looks like it could be a lower grade sonoran sunrise ... other than that I got nuttin useful to contribute. (Edited to add I'm only seeing it on my phone...probably nothing like ssr)

I would consider you a professional cabber! Love the purples, #11 Unknown with purple in the corner, and the rhodochrosite.
Thanks for the show. Always makes me happy to see beauty.

Thanks, Pat. I try...
You needs it back, huh... What you don't realize, Tommy, is that when I send something to you, it gives me license to load up the box and send you a boatload of stuff. That is one way to keep my stash in check.
Hmmm, but then, you'd probably like that, wouldn't you? LOL

Yes, those two things are NOT mutually exclusive. You see? I got too many rocks, so I gives ya some and tells ya no more for me. That way I got less rocks!! lol

Always a treat to see your work--- very professional. I love #6!!!!! Don't know what it is but it ROCKS! Of course, the rest are awesome, too. Tommy doesn't need anymore rocks, he'll just cab them or something. Send them to me and I'll keep the preciouses safe.

Am rethinking about what number 2 may be:
I got a bucket of rough from Burro Creek at one of my club's silent auctions. I remember the rocks had a white exterior. Could this be Burro Creek?
