Well as the weather cooled down today we thought it would fun to drive up about 10 miles up the caynon and see if I could find some Jasper, marble and other FLR. Te few today was 1/2 the fun.. Once we got to the summit...

I found a few pieces of Jasper and a few chucks of Marble. With Lots of and lots of very hard FLR which should polish up good.

FLR = Funny Looking Rock. My dad taught me that 45 years ago and it just one of those thing I still remember and use often with my kids.
Yes this is beautiful country out here. We are very lucky only to live 15 minutes from this place as many others just like this. The lake is just over 10,000 feet in elevation. So the climb up there is not bad unless you are not use to this elevation.

Nice scenery, 10 miles you'd have to think long and hard about how big a specimen you want to take back!
