Hi All,
While on my way to go hiking in Idyllwild I stopped at a rock sale and picked up a few specimens...some are easy to id but a few I'm not too sure...total haul around 12 lbs or so...paid around $25 for the whole lot...best I can gather these are from around the ca/az/nv area..any id help will be greatly appreciated...Lots of pics...enjoy

Nice rocks, do not fear Mel will see this and tell you what they are. I know horses and a few rocks, Mel is a rock in cowboy and knows em both!

the speckled greens are probably serpentines.. we get a lot of them here and they have a characteristic "greenish- lumpy- barely- under- the- surface" look to a lot of them. Not usually super hard. If it is super hard then suspect a serpentinite... mix of serpentine and something harder, olivine or silicate maybe.
