#12 is charoite as Herchenx posted. (and as Shotgunner confirmed)
Sorry, didn't even notice a page 2 here. Mesmerized by the stones. Nice haul. Estate sale... criminy!
Some one has to ask. What did you get away with all that for?

#16 is allunite or alunite- probably from AZ. I was told it was getting harder to find.
Very nice haul! That Victoria stone is a real find. Very nice pieces and patterns and very valuable.

Now that I can see the rest of the stones, and have wiped the drool off my tablet (can't get over that Victoria stone, OMG!) I also believe #12 is charoite. Maybe low grade, but still charoite.

Thanks all, I appreciate the help on ID's.
It looks like the Victoria Stone is a favorite lol. There were 21 slabs from slightly larger than a quarter to ~6" diameter + several smaller pieces. Taking a guess, it is probably around 4lbs of material. (One of the slabs is a thick end-cut) On a closer look today in full light there are 6 different colors.
What did I pay for it...there were no rocks or minerals out at the sale. There was one small piece of lapidary equipment priced to sell, so I bought it. After I paid and was leaving, I was asked if I also wanted a few boxes of "rocks and stuff that are going to the dumpster". I said, sure, I will take whatever you have. I still hadn't seen them and figured it would be a bunch of common stuff. There were only two heavy boxes, probably 60lbs total. I didn't even open them until well after I got home.
Here is what will make everyone a bit sick. They had been throwing away boxes of "rocks and stuff" for weeks. These were the last two and I was given them as an afterthought...

I just got sick to my stomach..... I'm really glad you could rescue what you got. The Victoria stone really needed to be rescued. There isn't much of it around. Can you post another group shot of the colors you got? Here is a great site for research.

If #12 has tourmaline then Not charoite. If tourmaline is present we all owe vegasjames an apology. Lepidolite is found in combination with tourmaline in the San Diego county mines.

Where is everybody?? Oh yeah, out picking the dump in Austin Tx where Roger lives. Roger, any way to contact the owners and see where the other boxes of rocks went? I would sure be getting myself dirty if I thought I could find the other boxes.

#17 may be a poor example of white spectrolite. Is the flash blue? Similar to labradorite blue but in the white stone.
There is a white "granite" counter material that is similar to #17. It has HUGE feldspar crystals (some ober 10" across) that have blue flash like labradorite.
Is #17 a standard 1/4" material or is it like 3/4" think?

YES! It is exactly like that. The slabs are 1/4", but there it'd also a large block the slabs were taken from.

#9 looks like hematite to me. should give a red streak on porcelain tile. #11 obviously an eye agate. Could be a Chinese rainflower pebble. #18 could be Maury Mtn moss too. *LOL* Every Ghost Town tourist trap in the desert used to sell bags of those gold painted pebbles to the goobers.....Mel
