#9 looks like hematite to me. .....Mel I was thinking the same at first, but then seeing the quality of what else was shown here has me wondering if the pile could be meteorite. Probably hematite, but meteorite would fit in with the rest of this dream nicely.

#9 looks like hematite to me. should give a red streak on porcelain tile. #11 obviously an eye agate. Could be a Chinese rainflower pebble. #18 could be Maury Mtn moss too. *LOL* Every Ghost Town tourist trap in the desert used to sell bags of those gold painted pebbles to the goobers.....Mel I will try the scratch test when I get home

Sabre52 @shotgunner It is hematite. Bright red scratches, not magnetic, some of edges are sharp'ish. So..what does a person actually do with hematite??? Roger

Re hematite: I've seen it made into beads/bracelets. Odd I haven't seen it in necklaces or earrings.

It is super messy if you try to cab it. What you generally see in the stores being sold as hematite in jewelry is almost all synthetic. Although the color and fact that much is magnetized would lend to it being synthetic magnetite instead of hematite as it often called.
