Gorgeous rocks, spiritstone! In the last pic of your second group of photos, the agate (?) looks like hyalite opal. Love the owl eyes. Gorgeous backlit shot of your jade. Do you have any pics of your Canadian turquoise? Wanted to let you know that I've been using the imagesup uploader, too, and the pics I uploaded onto the forum are no longer posted.

No, I ran out of those that were found. Gave most of it away. Hyalite it is. Its still a hit and miss with images upload. When you check the box to make your image private, they seem to stay up. Give that a try, it seems to work for me.

Any chance that you may go hounding for hyalite when you look for iridescent baculites ( ) and when it thaws out up there? Where is the hyalite opal found? What is in your last pic? amber? Sorry to hear that you gave your turquoise away. It was really nice material and very glad to have a piece of it from you. Thanks for your suggestion for the uploader, spiritstone. Will give it a try.

Will give it a try. I may not get the chance again. When i was in BC a few weeks back. I was told an offer was made on the claim. Whats his name had not kept up with the yearly fees, so the offer is being considered instead of just losing it all together, like the others. Yes it is, the amber is from Alberta, most are found in small pieces like in the tin. It should work....so far so good on my end.

Thanks, spiritstone. I'm with snowmom - watching with interest! By the way, love your new avatar. Hilarious!! The cardinal (angry bird, ROFL!) looks like he has eyebrows.

Awesome quartz specimens - especially the amethyst (covered with hematite?). Is the blue a Disdero? Garnets...

The blues in that shade I'm going to have to call it a Buse lake. Both are found in the same valley miles apart. Disdero blue is more purple to blue. Thanks
