Hi Everyone, I am new to this forum. I love rocks and just got into rock tumbling about a year ago. I am just learning and making lot's of mistakes. I have two Lortone rotary tumblers and two Diamond vibratory tumblers. Still figuring out what types of rocks can be tumbled together. I printed out a scale of rock hardness after tumbling some Fuschite down to a pile of nothing. Not really even sure if I should tumble fuschite or not. I have had better results tumbling local beach rock than from on-line purchases (go figure!). I have been perusing some threads and have already gotten some great information!!

I hope you read the rules about paying me for all the information you get from here.
Okay, now that I have your attention welcome to the family. I am from north central Wyoming, the land of nothing but rocks. I do not tumble any more but some of the best tumblers on the planet reside here and are glad to help. Jim

Wampidy-
What kind of rocks you got in Wyoming? My son is a Lineman in N. Dakota. He drives through Wyoming on occasion. Drove through in early January, said it was white-out conditions for awhile. Nice to meet you. I hope to learn to a lot more, and buy more equipment someday, but the more I learn, it seems the less I know. Unbelieveable how much there is to learn.

Welcome to the forum. Some great beach rocks on the Central coast. We have traveled the country doing shows and have never found an area we like more than the CA coast from Moro Bay to Monterrey.

Welcome jojo. I'm from the "central coast" too, depending on how one defines it. If you look at a map there's a whole lot of "central" California, from Ventura County(where I'm located) all the way to up to the Sonoma area. You'll learn a lot here. Have fun.

JoJo, Welcome to the forum. I spent my life in the SF Bay Area. Now I'm in southern Utah. I spent many hours agate hunting between Santa Cruz & Half Moon Bay. I've got some wonderful beach agates, but I won't tumble them. Nature did a good job already. Lynn

Welcome from Illinois ! You'll find the the best place to learn from others mistakes first. Some are more vocal than others but all are more bark than bite.envious of your location, especially lately.
