Noisy, video camera is noise sensitive. Running 4 barrels about 30 and 35 RPM. Big barrel is making screeching sound rubbing on rubber cap of smaller one. Never causes wear, so it is not an issue. Barrels are 16, 25, 30, and 25 pounds, motor is 1/3 HP, and it handles turning them quite fast with no problem.
The vibe is in 1000 stage. Trying the Viking recipe of 1 cup rice hulls per pound of rock on rhyolite, hmmm, no filler. Will see. Rice hulls turning to muck, but giving consistent coating. Threw a polished obsidian in there and it removed the polish to matte in one day. So the 1000 is getting to the stones through that thick paste. Added a half cup rice hulls the first day, then another 1/2 cup the second day. Paste has rolling action slowed way down. Also started with a cup of sugar, load about 10 pounds.
forgive the mess

Those rice hulls are a gooey mess. I wonder how hard it will be to rinse them off.

Insanely jealous of your hoop house! What growing system are you using? I have dreams of setting up an aquaponics system. Also, is that a diy tumbler setup?

Insanely jealous of your hoop house! What growing system are you using? I have dreams of setting up an aquaponics system. Also, is that a diy tumbler setup? I do grow aquatic plants for a living tyan. those houses are cheap, and the plastic lasts 5 years. That one is heavy and I put taller knee walls in the ground to elevate it. It was 30F and 25 MPH winds today, but t-shirts in the house. A great inexpensive set-up. But it is not hydroponics, just aquatic plants. Welded up the tumbler. It is heavy duty, but so is tumbling. So it is over built, and out of found parts and scrap. A pond above gravity feeds it and 4 other houses. Lazy set up. It's a lot of hard work though. Thanks

It looks awesome. Perfect place for tumblers too. One day . . .

Whoa, that's one serious operation you have there. Where did you find that industrial style vibe? Is that something you created yourself?

Is that the tumbler you're referring to as having welded it up?
