Maybe will be a ring, don't know yet which way I will go with it. It took 2 tries at soldering to get a good join on this one & forever to get it to that point! Same here, probably will be a ring. Unless I change my mind.............. As you can see I still have some more clean up on this one. Not perfect by a long shot but it is a good solid join on it. And what is so totally awesome is the fact that I can make any adjustments necessary on my cabs!!!!!!!!!!

great to see how you are doing, and what you are doing. first piece seems extremely complicated and labor intensive. I never gave much thought to how jewelry is made. This forum has been eye opening. Please continue to show us your work as you progress. So interesting. watching closely!

I think the 2nd one would look best with a high cab, but that's only my opinion. I only do stone work and cannot imagine doing delicate metals for hours on end too and then mess something up and not be pleased.
I see all the time hwre someone said they made a slight mistake (which most of the times I cannot tell) and then they talk about scrapping or adjusting. I'm also afraid id melt the solder or silver to my hands. Ha
