Tried to search National Geographic's website for a schedule. What a PITA!!!! You'd think they would invest in a good web designer. Totally difficult to get around in it and pushy ads for certain shows popping up even though you search for something else. annoyed as hell. grrrr If anybody hears when this is supposed to air, would you post it here? Thanks.

Unfortunately it looks the same as every other 'rock' related show. A few minutes about the actual rocks and the rest is a bunch of trumped up drama that ends up not being real exciting. Well, what can you expect from tv? I will probably still watch it if it really is on the 'net though, just for those few minutes where I might learn something.

I agree Roland rockroller, but it will be pretty interesting to watch how they harvest that stuff and cut it up, maybe we'll get some good looks at the rock itself off and on. I'ma give it a try anyways, I know where the off button is when I've had enough. I never thought I'd get hooked on Pawn Stars, either. fossilman Mike, thanks so much! We'll see what happens. Would be nice to hear other's opinions on this thread once we've had a chance to watch it a bit.

Discovery Canada... boo, our cable company doesn't carry it! (even though we have lots of other Canadian programs, and share borders with her.

It has potential, but as Roland has suggested if it follows the cookie-cutter format of all its predecessors, it will be about 10% truth and 90% overdramatized coprolite. Too bad someone won't make a documentary style version of the show. But then again, if they did, about 0.01% of the population would watch it. A rock hobby is a lonely hobby. If you don't believe me, try picking up someone in a bar when your opening line is "Are you into agate?"
Darryl.

Even though I agree with rockroller about these types of shows (usually more interpersonal drama than actual informative content), I plan on recording and burning the shows to disc...Such is my love for all things jade. snowmom, if I can successfully do this, I'll be sure you get a copy.

Not as dramatic as on TV. At least I can sum it up for you in 8 min for free. Cant watch it myself unless I pay for the extra channel.

Well, kiss those spots and many more goodbye. Plenty of morons will flood the field now and "F" it up good for everyone.
