I was told I should repost my intro to the visitors and members forum so here it is: I read the "attention all members" post regarding buying and selling here. In the spirit of getting to know me I offer the following: this is the first time I have been to this site and know no one here and I to have some obsidian to sell. About 300-500Lbs consisting of 25 pieces, the largest being 100+Lbs. As a child I always wanted a rock polisher but probably never showed enough real interest to warrant my parents buying me one. On the way to visit my great Aunt Zada in Winslow I use to scavenge meteorite fragments with my dad near the crator back when you could still freely walk around(or maybe my dad just did it?). My Aunt Zada is worth mention here because she had the most incredible collection of hand made turquoise and silver jewelry I have ever seen. All of which was gotten in trade from the Navajo at her parents trading post. Yes, not store but an actual trading post. Everything from small ear pieces, braclets to full neck/chest pieces. I have a 25year old son that has had severe cerebral palsy since birth, my wife and I will always care for him in our home. I have a daughter and 3 grandchildren, one of which said he'd like a rock polisher (when asked) but has yet to show any real enthusiasm to warrant me buying him one. My wife loves rocks and collects ones she sees here and there. When I go cut firewood I always look for and bring her a small stone to commemorate the trip. I am building a retaining wall and was going to use the obsidian as the cornerstones but thought they may be better suited somewhere else. I know nothing of their quality. We live near a dormant volcano in Northern California and they were on the property when we bought our home. Here is a link to the one pic I've been able to upload. www.dropbox.com/sc/u9hz0ye7sktixnz/AACiYHH-32SCwU8FOU7e8cshaVery sincerely, Scott
