Tommy, your cabs are magic! I was thinking to myself as I looked at your Tiffany cabs that there couldn't be much that was more wonderful than that stuff, then I got a look at the others you posted after them. True art the way you lay them out and the way they end up under your skilled hands. Thanks for another awesome show. Each month I think they couldn't get better and each month you top yourself. Wow!

I tell you Tommy I just hate you! LOL. You have such shiny glossy wonderful cabs and now you are doing incredible composition of the subject material!!! They are all great but the Wonderstone cab is the most interesting layout of Wonderstone I have ever seen!!! Can I come and sweep your shop and clean up etc to see if any talent might absorb into my humble self? Sorta wax on wax off. Oh that's it I actually need to make lots of cabs to get better..... By the way Stoner knows some stuff! That bag of preforms I won at his raffle at Tonys Cookout Are awesome!

Amazing work, foss. hard to pick favorites, but the Tiffany Stone certainly stands out, as does the Blue Biggs. I love the freeform Woodwaard Ranch piece that follows the contours of the plumes.... The more I look, the more favorites I have... Cherry Creek... Apache canyon.... Great work.

They are all wonderful, and each one is better than the next it seems, but the Amethyst Sage with the great depth is my favorite...until I take another look!

Good Golly, Miss Molly!!!!! You never let us down! cab-o-candy it is! I FORCED myself to pick a fav. I went through them all a bunch of times..... I had to go with the first Tiffany. THAT is a gorgeous stone and cut. But, they are all splendid. Very typical of your work, Tommy. : )

Yummmmmyyyyyy! What locality is that magnesite from? I haven't seen that type before. Hi Susan, I bought two large slabs, a green/pink and a red/yellow (2nd, 3rd, 4th magnesite photos) from my local rock shop – they were from a very old estate collection the shop had purchased and they were both marked “magnesite from Nevada.” The shop owner at the time thought it was very rare and he hadn’t seen it before. Hand written notes with dates I saw in other cigar boxes from the same old collection indicated he was collecting in the 1940’s and later. I recently got correlation on the ID when I found another piece of the same green/pink material at the San Jose show a few weeks ago (1st and 6th magnesite photo) – also from an old collection and also identified as magnesite – no location was mentioned. As a side note, I bought a chunk of plain looking beige/orange/yellow magnesite at a club rock sale last month (5th magnesite photo). It had just a faint touch of green/pink in one corner. Just out of curiosity I cooked a slab of the plain material just to see if new colors would emerge but it went dead gray smokey looking haha. At least I know the other ones are not heat treated.

I would dearly love to know where in Nevada they used to find this stuff just to see if any scraps remain. It's beautiful material and cabs like a dream - easy high shine like you would expect from a marble type rock I guess.
