Actually, it's 50 reps, lol. I find that since losing the weight, those 90 lb sacks of cement are much harder to pick up. I'd just love to be able to do honest work to stay in shape instead of wasting that energy on mindless exercising. And the dog food, used to come in a 50 lb bag? Now, the kind I buy is down to just 35 lbs. They can charge more money per pound that way. Would be over $100 for a 50 lb sack now. I also wonder if they think with everybody so out of shape, if they make the bag weights lighter, they will sell better? Bunch of lightweights! Naw, it's the money thing. Like ice cream in 3 1/2 qt containers, instead of 4 qt (half gallon) size. I could go on, but I'm sure you get my drift... Which is what I kept telling myself that last decade of weight gaining before I finally retired. Now I have to do both - honest work AND mindless exercising. The latter does have the advantages of doing it whenever I want in 5 minute increments if I wish, or a half hour while watching the "news," and in my air conditioned home instead of out in the heat or storm.

My first venture to town on a bus.
Truthfully, it's a bit daunting.

Second surgery scheduled for Aug 17. Not nearly as apprehensive this time around.

You think, therfore you are. All went according to plan? Turned you inside out? Plan? I guess... I have been absolutely alone this time. NO skilled nursing! ... and No post-op support. I am totally left to my own designs! What does not kill me only makes me stronger... Retirement begins

The most prominent and surprising change is how easily I get full now. For some reason my appetite has been cut in half... That said, the belly fat is dissolving!

wow! glad you had a good outcome as opposed to the alternative I just turned 61 last month, so I'm a young pup Hmmm... It is nearly a year exactly since this thread was commented on... Wow! How flyme ties! I have since had my other hip replaced and do up to 10 miles a day on my bicycle. Still have to walk up most hills though lol! I hit my target weight of 220 a few weeks ago and holding steady... I accidentally quit drinking beer in February! The Daytona 500 was getting ready to go green and I walked to the store for beer... I forgot my wallet! When I got back they were going green and I totally forgot about beer... I never went back! So here I am, smoking medical pot lol, watching three volcanoes wake up and waiting for the "Big One!" listening to music with disaster movies on tv ( no sound of course)!!! And it's raining...
