Hi! I'm a norwegian girl who are running my first batch of rocks in my new rotary tumbler, after a lifetime of collecting rocks. I'm an archaeologist and often find the pockets of my work trousers full of interesting rocks.
There is so much inspiration on this forum and can't wait to see how my rocks turn out.
I can't find any "rock tumbling community" here in Norway and it seems to me that the rocks here differs quite a lot from what I see on these pages. Do any of you have experiense with norwegian rocks?

Welcome aboard silwery from a South Dakota guy. No experience with Norwegian rocks, but it will be interesting to see what your country has to offer.
Post pics of your archaeological finds. I'm sure ther are others beside myself who would love to see them.
My wife is of Norwegian decent. (Luvas)

Welcome to the forum silwery...beautiful country you are from. I lived in Oppdal many moons ago, but wasnt into rocks back then - just skiing and friluftsliv. I too am interested see the rocks you collect and tumble. I have some Larvikite collected from the south of Norway by my brother this past summer. I will be slabbing and cabbing for a pendant soon and will post pics. Cheers
