My wife made this sweater for the dog. The dog hates it.
Good ones, both. But I especially like the dog sweater. I agree with Frankie, that kind of stuff is why dogs bite humans, lol.
Remember my next door neighbor when I was younger. They had a dog that needed regular primping at a dog groomer. One time, the wife thought she'd save some money and clip the dog herself. The dog was so embarrassed, that it didn't want to be seen. Would hide when they'd try to leash him for a walk!

Our dog Boede was always game for a walk but she would hide as soon as she saw the sweater come out. Once she was out the door she was her normal self and even got lots of compliments on the sweater. You can see in the photo how much she hated wearing it.

I'm thinking a sweater like this would be a good deterrent for couch snorers during the daytime, lol. Some suggest sewing a tennis ball into the back of the offenders pajamas! Starguy, that cracks me up whenever I see it. Thanks for bringing that up again, Jan gingerkid.

WARNING - OLD THREAD RESURRECTION
This is an oldie but a goodie, (one on my threads, duh) and still relevant.
I was "in the zone" this morning while walking. Had my headphones on, head somewhat down, blinders on (figuratively), making tracks. It occurred to me that is something my dog Lucy used to do. She would get in the zone, put some swagger into it, and just plod forward, like a linebacker. She looked like she was on a mission! When doing so, she would usually get this goofy grin on her face. My sister's pitbull does the same thing.
Dang, but I can't find a photo to share of her wearing that silly grin. I know I will never forget the face and body language. But here's a couple of her:
Nine years old, going downhill....
Chillaxing
Anyway, it made me smile to think of it, and her.
Any of the newbies, or other people that may have missed this, have something that makes you smile? Let us all in on it!
And to think, it all started with a free range sub-urban chicken, lol.

...when your child chooses to disregard sage advice, like 'don't walk back up the slip and slide', and instantly learns Dad might have something to offer, after all.

Was sitting on the back deck watching the wife dig and water in her garden this afternoon. Wildflowers in the yard are about two feet deep and they were rustling and jerking around as Tank, our yard armadillo, headed her way like a land shark, parting the foliage as he dug his way towards the smell of all that soft, wet, new dirt. Armadillos barely see and he did not know the wife was there until he smelled her shoes. Both were equally startled. Too funny. Then it got funnier still as the wife went round and round the flowerbed and chased him out of her fresh diggins. Problem is, dillos have like no memory at all and soon forget what scared them and go right back to doing what they were doing. So, I got to watch the chase still again. He'll be back after dark so he'll win in the end. Wildlife, you've moved into their world so ya have to live with it....Mel Who me????Shot of Tank or one of his cousins from a couple of years ago. They all look alike to me.

DH makes me smile. He is always doing surprisingly silly things at odd moments. He has this goofy child's toothbrush with a silly open, toothy grin and suction cups on its "feet". I hate that thing! He tortures me with it. When I least expect it, I look up and there it is, staring at me with it's goofy smile from the top of my laptop. Or, I go to reach for something and there it is! It's always there! I hate it, but I love it. It makes me laugh and aggravates me at the same time. (Really, it doesn't aggravate me, I just pretend that it does- which makes HIM laugh. I guess that makes us really weird! LOL!)
