Hi, my name is Jim. I started doing lapidary and silversmithing in 1964 (high school), dabbled in making jewelry during the turquoise craze in the early 70's. Decided I need to find a real career to support myself and went into the quality assurance field. In 2006 I thought I officially retired but was called back several times to either start my own company or work for a previous employer. I wintered in RV resort in AZ for the first few years which gave me the opportunity to stay at resort with a lapidary shop. I volunteered as teacher, equipment fixer and what ever else was needed. Being so close to Quartzite was a blessing too. In 2010, I met my lovely wife in a lapidary/silversmithing shop at a resort. We live in sunny Arizona year round where we have the pleasure of enjoying the use of several lapidary and silversmithing clubs in the city where we reside. Will be posting stone, silversmithing and our adventures
