I finally got the tumblers going again after a very busy summer. I had some thin Montana agate slabs that aren't that great for cabbing. I figured they would tumble nicely but they weren't a nice shape for tumbling. I used a glass cutter to score the slabs into shapes that should turn out OK. This method works great to make nice shapes that are more useful for jewelry etc. I even managed to score and break some curves. It sure is fast to cut shapes for tumbling. It works good for trimming slabs before cabbing. Zip, snap and you're done. It doesn't work on all material but for good solid agate/jasper, nothing is quicker. Seven more pounds of slabs to go. later
