Someone met me at a Gem & Mineral show I was selling my jewelry at. She wants me to make a ring & has 2 slabs of Binghamite that could be part of a trade. The slabs are pretty thick & total about 6lbs (lots of iron!) The poor photos she emailed look like the parallel banding of pet wood with some reds & hematite. I don't think it looks anything like Pietersite or Tiger Eye.
I know it's supposedly rare, but so are lots of things that don't interest me.
Any comments, personal stories or advice would be appreciated. I will be asking for a second round of photos, taken in better lighting.
TIA
Lynn
