Mostly tiger eye and lakers but also tossed in a handful of mixed rock. They all played together nicely. Tiger eye Lakers Pudding stone Mixed rock Here's a little back story info. The tiger eye was started in stage one on Dec. 10th so exactly 30 days from rough to finish and none were ground on wheels at all. Some are still rolling in stage one but that first photo shows about a pound that were done that quickly. Thanks for looking Chuck

Those all look great. The one time I tried Tiger Eye wasn't so good. I think I've learned a little since then, starting with getting good rough. That stuff looks super.

Liking the weekly post of Drummond Tumbles Inc. Nice of you to take time.
Tigereye is the vintage tumble. it came with my 3 pound tumbler when I was 13 years old. Tigereye was included and set me on fire to be a rock collector. I did a good job on it 45 years ago.

I think it is a staple in the lapidary world and even folks that are not into rocks seem to know what it is or have at least seen it before. I am still drawn to tiger eye cabs and tumbles. It is a fan favorite at shows too. Chuck

This made me finally look up fordite. I thought to myself that there was no way that could be natural stone....

This made me finally look up fordite. I thought to myself that there was no way that could be natural stone.... I do not recommend tumbling Fordite due to the cost (per gram) but I do make a lot of cabs so I tumble the scraps. Here's a glimpse of the cabs forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/73086/wire-wrap-collage-testThis is the rough as it comes off the paint racks And this is after I prepare some for for cabbing Chuck

Fine looking tiger eye, gotta do some of that myself. Sure is sweet how that Lot-O polishes anything and everything even when mixed.
