If you are using the Felker, 1430-2150 arbor rpm. If a 303C or new style 301, 2150-2870. I run 10" 301's at about 3200 and they cut well but dull quicker than normal.

Rockinrick pulled his posts and left the board. Here's the final result of his saw recondition He said post it for @shotgunner or just in case someone else needs any ideas. He also started a cabbing machine build when he was here. He said it felt like most folks here were more interested in telling him how to build his cabber than just following along so, when he is done building the cabber, I will post his video to that thread maybe, then I too will disappear. Just FYI, I am not Rockinrick so I won't be following this post or be making other posts here. Very good move on his part! Why would a person want to hear any advice from people who have built a cabbing machine. It is much better to make the same mistake that others have then to find out what not to do. I will assure you the most of the people on this board are not here to show the rest of us how smart they are but want to help a person with getting things right. Look at how jamesp plays with things and tries others suggestions also. Look at us that have learned the 2 step from ingawh . Many many people have helped many others on here. Rockinrick hang around and use the all the great resources, 'people' on this board. ..............................MrP

Thank you for so clearly illustrating the point to me.

As I remember, on the cabber build he started out by inviting input from others. I find know it all's boring. Since he knows it all, I say good riddance.
No matter how smart a person thinks they are, there's always something more to learn from others.

No matter how smart a person thinks they are, there's always something more to learn from others. Everybody, and I mean 'Everybody' has something to teach others. About the time you think you have all the answers some idiot comes along and lets you know just what you really know. Found that out many years ago and never forgot it................MrP
