I while ago I bought two Thumler's Model T machines used and then renovated them. I also have many Lortone 33B and QT66 machines. I noticed that the Thumler 3 pound barrels had a nasty habit of leaking slurry very slowly from the lid seam. It would dry on the barrel and then sprinkle pale gray dust everywhere. Finally one of the barrels blew out while running and puked slurry and stones everywhere. My Lortone barrels never even come close to leaking or blowing out. I still like the Thumbler Mod T machines, so I looked for a Lortone barrel that would fit the Model T. Low and behold, the Lortone 45C 4.5lb barrel fits the model T perfectly and increases the capacity by 50%. The barrel clears the motor well, and fits between the roller guides with room to spare. All clearances are good. The barrel rotation is 43 RPM. Behold:If you are tired of leaking Thumler barrels, give it a shot.

Nice creativity. I prefer Lortone barrels too, but like the openness of the Thumlers.
