Happy Birthday, LarryS , wherever you are.
Think of you and Diane often. How is the new puppy you call BB doing?
Hope you are all doing well.

Thanks Jean and all. I reset my birthday counter when I turned 60. I'm only 3 years old! All is well. Stay in contact with Jake's Rocks Don & Christopher, we're buds. But I've been putting lapidary on the back burner because have so many projects going on. Remodeling my home, floor to ceiling. Even though I'm retired/disabled, I never worked so hard in my life! Diane is the toughest boss I've ever had! Nah, I'm making our home a nice place to die in while I can still function. Our new hound BB is doing great. We take him every afternoon to a remote location down the street. Same thing we did with Goober. Lots of wildlife and have a hobby taking pictures of them. Spent some major money on all new digital cameras, big lenses and having a blast. Taken literally thousands of images and have some really cool ones. Always write email critter reports to friends & family, ask Don & Christopher! Drive them crazy! Maybe I should start posting some of them here, think most of you would enjoy them. Would need Mel's help on identifying some of the birds of prey. See about 7 different ones almost daily, plus 2 different falcons, ospreys, on and on. Plus I buy approx 200lbs of bird seed monthly at our local feed/tack store. That's just for our patio, not counting when we go out in the field. Feed all the quail, jays, sparrows, rabbits, squirrels, coyotes, just to name a few. They say don't feed the wildlife? Yeah right! We've become hard core bird watchers. BB is totally different than Goober. He wants to do what his breed was developed to do, being a hybred farm dog to kill vermin. Yep, he's a true Rat Terrier, extreme killing machine! Limber as a cat, runs like a Whippet, which they have Whippet & Italian Greyhound in them. He can out run and manuever any rabbit or squirrel, easy. Trying to reverse it but it takes time. Can't let him off leash because he'd take off if he saw a squirrel or rabbit and won't stop until it's dead. The Dog Whisper calls it "redline behavior." Yep, that's BB to a T if he sees a critter. His breeder trains all Rats to do that, ranch raised. So I can't take him rock hounding off leash. That's going to be a pain! Goober was wonderful, would follow all commands and stay right with me, even if a rabbit jumped out. BB follows all commands except "no" or "come here." We're still working on that. Stubborn! Only remodeling project I have to start/finish is Diane's bathroom, floor to ceiling. Lots of work for a old man! Also been playing with the Jeep, installed a ultra high end stereo system in it. I've always been a audiofile, ever since I was a teenager. Installed about a $2k system in it and it's super high fidelity, can't get much better. Diane played her favorite Fleetwood Mac CD and she started crying because it sounded so good! And in the past 2 months since I've installed it, I'll take a 2 hour drive in the morning and usually a 2 hour drive in the afternoons just to cruise around and listen to CD's. AWESOME!!!!! Will be getting into High Resolution Audio where the huge audio files are like one song would only fit on a CD! Pretty intense. I know, got to get my act together and start thinking about important things, like rocks! Need to do a little more research to see how much rock hounding land is left in SoCal. Obama just made some huge national parks in the Mojave and much is closed off now. I look at the large piles of jasp/ag rocks next to my patio every day and need more piles! Never can have too much! Miss all you guys and will get back with the program soon.
