I posted a while back about this ring I took in for repair and finally got it completed. A huge thanks to a couple members sending me some Black jade to use instead of the brittle black onyx The whole top of the ring was curved as was the well holding the stone. I had to order a couple wheel burs to level a base for the stone to sit and still had to concave the back of the cab just a bit. This is a custom ring the Gent had made using the diamond out of his deceased Mother's engagement ring, so it has a lot of sentimental value to him. I think it came out very nice even though one can just barely make out a slight flaw in the Jade that looks like a crack, but is not. Lots of tedious work went into the repair of this piece!

Very nicely done. Making jewelry is one thing, repairing jewelry is another thing altogether!
