Looks like I might have a day or so when I'm out in eastern Oregon in a week or two. We have been wanting to wander down to Leslie Gulch & Succor Creek areas for a long time, so if it's not too hot and time isn't too short, we're hoping to make the side trip.
If anyone has been there that has any collecting tips/experience they'd like to share that'd be greatly appreciated.

It's amazing. 4wd can be required for some areas. Source a map if you can, it's a big area!

Cross the creek and hike up the hill to the left of camp, there are small thundereggs right there that can be nice.

Yes they r embedded in a cliff but don't go for them. Go below about 100 feet and dig, you will find them very shallow. You cannot hound in the campground or surrondings.
