Started in late May after 3rd step only had about a dozen stones ready to polish. Even with a 2 lb. barrel that was not enough. Ordered a 10 lb. box on ebay plus a AR-2 tumbler now have more capacity, but still takes time. #1 #2 #3 #4 Floor Sweepings

Sounds like your hooked. Always nice to see new folks trying their hand at tumbling. You can take the tumbling part of this hobby to what ever level you desire depending on how much time and money you want to put into it. Nice looking first batch. Keep em rolling.

Nice first batch, what do you have going now? Agate, jasper and some petrified wood and some stuff I have no idea what it is. If it looks bad next time I check I'll take it out. Still in the learning phase and trying to have some fun. We spent the winter in AZ so we brought back stones we don't see in IN so don't know how they will turn out. If it looked interesting it went in the bucket, good or bad.

Congrats on batch #1. Looks to me like the rocks came out just fine.
Patience is the tumblers best friend. Looks like you got it.

Thanks. Still trying to figure what procedure will work the best for me. I have been keping track of all my tumbles so I can compare batches later.

I'm in the first stage of my first tumble so I don't know a whole lot. It looks like your first batch was a success!

Had some stones with some chips, and some of my petrified wood was stating to undercut. But for the most part pretty happy.
