I'll watch about any SEC game. I live in Lexington, so I get to see a good team steamroll their way through here about every week. My Cats, not so good, but the rest of the conference is top notch. We'll see you in March though.

Love my southern teams. For the sake of this forum that has many western folks. My beloved Californians are going to get a taste of Alabama today.
Sister lives in Oregon, me razzes her about the south teams giving her Ducks a hard time. Suggesting they change their name from Ducks to a legitimate/appropriate football team's name.
People ofTexas and snuffy very dedicated football folks.

My Saturday routine is to start watching the 11am games and all throughout the day, usually ending my viewing around halftime of the last west coast game, when I doze off, catching the final score when I get up Sunday morning! I don't venture into town on gameday, over 100,000 fans. Millions of bucks pour in! snuffy

Was rock hunting near Alabama/Auburn game last year. The place was a zoo, good to see people getting into it like that. Lots of spirit in the air.

I'm not a sports fan, but I graduated from Michigan so I went to all the football games for four years. If there's one sport I care about, it's Michigan football. panamark is also a Wolverine. Go blue! I don't care much for cardiobill this time of year. What kind of team has a hairy nut as their mascot? What's more intimidating? This: Or this:

I believe most fans start following members of their local high school teams as they go to collage, their local or state teams, and the lucky few that make it into the NFL. Some follow the top dogs. Top 25as I attended BYU I have followed them for many years. However, most of their coaches moved to Virginia last year, and I GOTTA watch them!

We shall see how the Tide comes out on the field this evening. I never take anything for granted. But, them grits-eatin' Bama boys do know how to play ball...and they got a fair to middlin' coach, too!

Jugglerguy, neither the overgrown mutated chipmunk nor the chestnuts have a chance against... Ed, I'm confused about your mascot. It's an elephant, right? But it's called the Crimson Tide? Why arent they called the Elephants? Why are the elephants in the water? Are they bleeding? Is the tide actually elephant blood? It's all rather confusing. Anyhow, elephants are herbivores. My wolverines will have to be careful not to get stepped on, but they'll just start chewing on the legs and work their way up.

Kind of hard not to catch the fever. But I'm originally from Illinois. So I root for whatever Big 10 team is doing the best. The Illini were never a team to cheer for. So I'm actually happy when anyone in the Big 10 is doing well nationally.

Rob, so as not to leave you all dazed and confused (typical Michigan alumni).<sigh> The Red Elephant
Oh, the problem with those overgrown chipmunks is that before they get to nibble on the elephant's toenail they find themselves being a lonely grease spot beneath those huge feet....then the Michigan fight songs goes (in a high-pitched voice) something like "I'm a little grease spot, thin and flat...if I was smart I'd wear an Alabama hat!".
