Good start on my homemade vibe. Next is to figure out how to attach a holder for rock container. Would have been better to mount the motor vertically but it has a built in fan for cooling on that end.
On its own axle set up, easy to move,it's gonna be sweet and polish one helluva bunch of rock ! Love it !
Always looking to purchase quality oddball colored Jasper's and Agates. If you want to part with some of your materials, give me a pm and let's work it out !
Looks like you've got some good vibe action going there. You may want to move that switch. Looks like it wants to eat your hand when you reach in there. ;)
Had at least 2mm clearance, wasn't even close using the jamesp danger scale..... Seriously though will reach switch from back in the future. Just went through the front for the video.
That's pretty neat what do you have in mind for the tub?
Still working on that, been using a pitcher that has a snap on lid. Playing around with the bungee tension to see the effect on action. Grandkids were also playing around.. www.flickr.com/gp/147447506@N05/RF4i32I've been thinking about attaching a metal bundt cake pan & use the silicone pans as removable liners.
What size and type of motor are you using? I have been trying to replace the motor in my old FL-20 vibrating lap. So far 2 new motors and both have failed. I suspect that the lower quality bearings on the built overseas junk are not adequate for the stress of the vibration.
I was thinking about buying the replacement motor for the Thumlers UV-18 Vibrating tumbler and using it. The $187 cost has made me put a hold on the idea. Not sure what else to do.

Like the bundt pan.
Might could use a spray one "parts dip" or truck bed liner.
