Well, the way I see it is this.
We all know where tony is. Its mostly open to the public, if we all just show up with food to share, Tony can attend his party or not.... 🤔

spinning the dates to see if the wife and I can make it this year. she has to have foot surgery around Christmas time, so kind of depends on her recovery. How is the motel booking situation in late Jan>? Any "stay here" or "DO NOT stay here!" recommendations?

There is one decent hotel that I think is usually booked solid a year in advance and a couple of flea-bit dives that you don't want any part of from what others have said. Nearby Blythe or Ehrenberg are your best bets. As I said on page 1 of this thread we stayed at the Best Western in Ehrenberg and it was good - reasonable cost and clean.

We always RV'd but most years stayed behind Silly Al's Pizza. The "RV Park" was parking spots for $5 per night. Had water faucet and dump station to refill or dump on site. Some years the restrooms/showers were operational. Handy location. Walk under freeway to Tyson Well, walk to Silly Al's, Walk to Pow Wow for that matter. As far as Pow Wow, always start in the row where spaces 384, 385, and 386 are. The rest of the vendors are just fillers.

Being a newbie, I wanted to see one of the largest rock shows in the US. We did not make it to Denver. Hey, Tucson show is coming up! The better half travels back and forth to Atlanta every week...let's check the possibilities. Round trip to Tucson for Feb 2-11th for two = $0.00...cool. Her hotel has a chain there...dang, totally booked! Hmmm, One call and a spot opened up. Nice! Ten night stay in Tucson during show = $0.00...extremely cool! Rental car for 10 days in the $400 range. Let's do this! But, wait, it seems most from RTH go to The Quartzite Pow Wow. I check dates and...hey...we are going too dang late to make it. Now, I am disappointed and excited at the same time. A week goes by...the wife still has points!! So we added a trip for Jan 19-22 and we will stay in Blythe, CA. If those going will have us, we look forward to meeting you all. WE WILL BE THERE !!

looking doubtful we will make it. Wife is having foot surgery Dec 20th and will be on a knee scooter for 6 weeks. Besides that, I blew my rock budget on the Lancaster black powder long rifle
