I aske JD about illegals(older fellow at entrance). He lives close to the action and has lake property near or collecting area. He said he has never had an issue with the illegals. Which makes me wonder what the truth is and who is abiding such activity.
I stick to the issue of making contact with people greeting the illegals from our side being the ones to fear. I assure you that they will be wolves in lamb's coat and equipped for action. We probably had dinner in the Zapata restaurants/rubbed shoulders with/around people active in this activity.

The quarry with the broken gate was the back door to the quarry behind the locked gates - must revisit to poach there. Just gonna be a looong way to carry rocks back! That area (my best spot) at the bottom of the hill I hated walking back up with a full bucket must also be hit again. I got the obvious, but was not interested in wood. (where the bee hive was) Then there is the spot we have talked about which neither of us made it to... thinking that area alone is worth a 20+ hour drive. 15 boxes still sealed up!! *sigh* When I get back home I will let you know about that last spot.

I will continue to visit the Rio till I can no longer move. I want to explore resources up and down stream too. Rocks south of the dam may be lacking, or at least VERY picked over. ETA: Mexican side however ... should I be working on getting a passport?

Bob, those tumbles are freaking awesome!
James, you've obviously grown older but I'd stay off the Mexican side of that part of the border if you want to grow older. Man, you love to tempt fate. They're only rocks dude. Keep that big ole lake between you and the bad guys. That's all Zeta cartel territory and the Zetas are supposed to be really unlikable fellows, Mexican special forces gone bad and kidnapping is a specialty...Mel

Was planning on selling him to Zeta's. His wife commissioned the arrangement(ha). She must have enjoyed her time away on his last trip. The other side of the tracks in Laredo would dissuade any one with common sense entering Mexico at this time. Presidio no different. Shame crime has made that area so hostile.

Tired, grouchy, mean and ornery according to wife MrMike. They need an 'after 50's' pill for the old school gang. Increased energy, testosterone, pain relief, positive attitude and a dozen others would be a good start lol.

That recent pic of you looks like you could eat barbed wire chew it up and spit out nails.... Rugged dude!!
