A weirdly fascinating site featuring only coprolite (fossilized poop). Some of those must have hurt. www.poozeum.com/coprolites.htmljamesp and others, have you found much of this? After reading the stuff (esp. the SCarolina items) I wondered if you have found some crappy stuff?

I don't give a ....
Must read that article first, on a mission this moment.
No, never found such Mark. Would love too. Anxious to read article.
I see this, never knew. Will consult underground treasure hunters.
Coprolites from Florida The majority of these Florida beauties are from the Pleistocene Epoch (2,500,000 years old to 12,000 years old). All of these specimens are fossilized, even though they may look fresh and smelly.

Anxious to hear what today's mission is. Big fight w/the Ms. Recovering greenhouse. We always get into it on this job. We are both tired and grumpy, pups keep us awake.

Couldn't you have picked a warmer day? Good luck with the greenhouse recovering project, you use hard panels or like plastic sheeting? Big job either way!
Wife unit enjoyed puppy pics & video this morning. How many more weeks of puppy sitting to go?

Wife unit enjoyed puppy pics & video this morning. How many more weeks of puppy sitting to go? 3 hours, 16' X 96' greenhouse. Tear old cover off and staple new 24' X 100' poly. Took 1600 staples using staple gun. Unexpected rain, 40F, hands cold due to handling ploy so much. Pups go outside in a week if they are in perfect health. So far so good. Good heath is 90% rigid stools. Diarrhea is not good and most common issue. This litter about healthiest ever.

Hmmm, Now I've read a number of articles that say those twisty, really doggy turdy looking, thingees ( Salmon Creek/Wilkes Formation type) are pseudocoprolites and are actually a form of siderite concretion. I've always thought they looked pretty poopy though. Even museums seem to have problems with IDing those. I was invited to look at a coprolite collection at one private museum and they even had what were obviously double and triple t-eggs labeled as poop.....Mel

That was a fun site. I expected the world's largest coprolite to be bigger though.
