I'm looking for Riker boxes or Butterfly boxes or whatever name you call them. You know the ones used to display & transport cabs, pendants, etc. What I'm used to are made of chipboard covered with black leather textured paper. They are filled with soft cotton-like material & have glass in the top. The top & bottom pieces are held together by inserting pins through the sides. I'm sure many of you know the kind. The trouble with paper-covered chipboard is that they fall apart & the paper wears through over time, especially when used to transport cabs to shows, etc. That's why I want plastic ones. The size I'm looking for is 12 x 16 x 3/4". I'd also really like some that are the same dimensions as the stacking plastic display trays I have: 8.25 x 14.75 x 3/4. Every vendor I've found only has the cardboard Riker boxes. Here's an example: www.amazon.com/Riker-Specimen-Mount-12-16/dp/B005VDNO6I/ref=pd_sim_23_4?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B005VDNO6I&pd_rd_r=2879QZANWFD67HHKGVSN&pd_rd_w=spug5&pd_rd_wg=aeEbi&psc=1&refRID=2879QZANWFD67HHKGVSNSurely someone makes a plastic version. Look at the Riker Mount web page. Google wholesale riker Mounts, they have plastic products along with the ones you mentioned. You can buy there in quanity with a deep discount. I have bought their display cases by the case very reasonable.

Coincidentally, I was looking at these a few days back. Unfortunately, they are paper over chipboard. www.rockboxes.com/riker.htmlThis site recommends using the Riker style box in a flat for protection. That may help with the wear & tear. Darryl.

I've seen sectioned plastic inserts that go into the regular Riker boxes, but not what I described in my OP. Lynn

I don't think this is what you had in mind but this is the plastic stuff they have. Perhaps this is the plastic boxes that were referred to.
Plastic stuff at the Riker link
