The first one is mushroom rhyolite/jasper. No idea about the second one.

Second one is most likely a fine grained quartzite. Seems too be a lot of light purple quartzite here in Texas too....Mel

Thanks guys!!! We have a few rock bottom creeks with tributaries from all kinds of water ways. I find the coolest things.

Yeah that top one looks for all the world like mushroom rhyolite, but I haven't the foggiest idea how it ended up there. Figuring that one out sounds like a nice mystery adventure.

I find all kinds of things here that some say I shouldn't but that really makes me wonder what really is Out There, everywhere that just hasn't been found?
