Neat presentation. The beer looks good, but the oysters look like they have furry Mohawks.
On Hartstine Island in WA, I took my first and last bite of an oyster. Wanted to see what was inside. Should never do that. It looked right back at me.

Very interesting. I have not seen that before and I have been to at least 100 seafood restaurants. Very cool.

Stick with the beer!

I generally don't like my seafood fried, but fried oysters, when done right, are deee vine. MMMM

Next time eat the oysters raw and have the same dish with mussels.
Report back here.
I'm always working on flavours and need input! And you seem like an adventurous diner!! Sad I didn't partake with youthanks Andy!

I've heard of restaurants having to stamp logos on their cutlery to reduce losses. I wonder if this place actually loses agate to the merely curious, or to the hungry rockhound that has needs to top up the tumbling rough. Neat idea, but the oysters should have been left in the ocean. They hide on the sea floor so that you don't mistakenly eat one.

I had to share this one….Out to dinner on the coast this weekend and stumbled upon the most decadent presentation for a meal to a rock hound….Its oysters rockoyaki (fresh oyster cooked in a a wood oven with pork belly and a garlic motoyaki sauce) served over a bed of hot AGATES!!!!!! Ridiculously good stuff…Cheers Looks delicious. I'm a fan of New Zealand green mussels prepared this way too. Haven't had it served over hot agates though.
