Hi all,
I'm wondering if someone has found a good source for these belts. I'd like to stockpile a few, and I'd also like to explore if there is a cheaper cost other than buying the Lortone belt.
I had seen a thread about an "O" ring website, and I think I started to hone in on some possibilities. The 45C belt is described as having a 4" diameter, but I'm left wondering if that's inside, outside, or the center of the belt material itself. I'd look more on the "O" ring website, but since seeing it, I had to do a Windows reinstall and lost my bookmarks.
If I'm stuck with the Lortone belts from Lortone, the Rock Shed, or other places, I'll bite the bullet. But, if this "O" ring site offers the same product (significantly cheaper BTW), that's what I'd like to use. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks and regards.
ETA: It probably wasn't a specific thread as it was someone's post about the "O" ring site. Just wanted to clarify.

How often are you replacing belts? I think I replaced my belt once since I bought my 33 b in 2012. I haven't replaced it in at least a couple of years, I think I have a spare on hand, but I sure don't feel the need to stockpile them. I wonder if something is wrong that's breaking belts. Are they breaking or wearing out in some other way? If it's too loose, have you tired tightening it?

Are they breaking or wearing out in some other way? If it's too loose, have you tired tightening it? I guess the word, stockpiling, was probably the wrong one to use. I took one tumbler out of storage recently (used it years ago with no maintenance), and that belt was toast (stretched and shredded). Also recently bought a second 45C. I've got both running, and I was having a bit of a time getting the belt tightness dialed in, and alignment of both pulleys was just a touch off - black bits/residue were in the motor compartments of each tumbler. I think things are ok now, but I'm looking at my initial "start up" issues causing accelerated wear on these two brand new belts. If there were no issues, I'd probably just suck it up and buy two OEM belts and keeping them on hand. I'm thinking about getting four. It won't break the bank, but if there are other suitable belts out there at a lesser cost, that's all I was looking for. Sorry for any confusion. Regards. Dave

Ok, that makes sense. I just use the originals from the Rock Shed because I rarely buy them. I don't have any other options for you sorry.
