We are still very new to this hobby. We have bought some grit from Rockhound.com as well as some grit from other places on Amazon.com. Is there a difference in grit provided? How does one know what to look for? Thank you in advance.

I guess my question really is, is there someone everyone trusts to provide quality grit?

Shop around and buy where it (and shipping) is cheapest for you. Not likely that a grit is better quality at seller X over seller Y.

There may not be a quality difference between vendors but a large majority of the folks here are getting their tumbling supplies from www.therockshed.com or www.kingsleynorth.com Those are the only two sources I have ever purchased grit from and I have never had an issue with quality or delivery.
