Curious to know what the individual pieces were used for. They remind me of cocktail Swizzle Sticks (50's and 60's), but look a little too short for that.

Beautiful! I'd lean more towards Japanese weapon types, especially arrowhead types, and the piece that looks like a naginata, but I suspect Chinese weapons are in many instances very similar. An unobtrusive scratch test will tell you if it's jade or serpentine..Mel

Wow them are super cool! Might be worth finding out what it says Fantastic5 had a co-worker that helped with some Chinese writing on an item of mine.i would leave that just as it is don't open it.

Sorry for not replying earlier..Thanks for the comments..Here is a size reference for those interested...The frame is 44 inches long by 24 inches high..The pieces are around 7 inches tall and there are 18 in the frame...I still haven't broke into it .Lots of things going on and have been taking up all my time..Anyway thanks again....John
