Totally totally totally amazing. The purple stuff that you did not show a close up of is over the top of the top. What is it and where can I get some. Gorgeous stone. Jim

Peace, Rich I've always pronounced it sha-TUCK-ite but orrum schooled me in Utah on the proper pronunciation as shat-a-KITE It's one of those words that we see in print a lot but have never heard out loud - like "chalcedony" lol.

I am so glad that your Cherry Creek does not have the shine you think it should. If it did, I would be totally blinded. Seriously, I don't think that stone was intended to have any greater shine than it does! Never detract from the stones story.

Outstanding group of cabs. Love them all, except that coprolite looks like...oh, never mind, that's what it is...hehe. I love the blues, greens and purples and these are spectacular.
BTW...I always heard that shattuckite was named after a guy named Shattuck, so that might determine a slightly different pronunciation, with the "ite" as it's own syllable. That being said, many names are pronounced differently over time and regionally, too. I just call it "beautiful".
