Had the best day yesterday! First I got to view the solar eclipse from under the mid-line, just an hour north of my house. We had perfect weather, not a cloud in the sky. Found a little day use area on the Tennessee river (above Watts Bar dam, so think lake). Not overly crowded and our group was on SUPs, kayaks and canoes out on the lake. A full 2 1/2+ minutes of totality. We saw stars and a nearly 360 sunset. A completely awe inspiring event. I can see why people chase eclipses. Then I got home to find the SFR box in the mail box from rockjunquie . It was packed full of exquisite preforms! Thank you so much Tela! I struggle the most with composition, and you took the guess work out of this for me. And the variety...wow. This will keep me busy for a long time! Back at work today, and no pictures to share (I know, I know...). But I wanted to get the thank you out to Tela and just to say how blessed I feel

I'm glad you liked it. I know whenever I get a box, it's like Christmas. I don't know which of you got which, it really was random. I do know that there were two especially interesting bags that I put in each box. One was the red serpentine in quartz and one was the green chatoyant actinolite. That stuff polishes up very nicely. Both were thick enough to groove wrap and or double dome, too.

It was "Rare Red Serpentine Quartz". My son went through a phase when he was younger that had everything being REALLY RARE. Every rock he found on our trips was REALLY RARE. Every Pokemon card was REALLY RARE. So I will forever remember how we giggled every time he showed us something REALLY RARE. Its a great memory and I will always smile at any thing that is REALLY RARE

Yeah, my grandson is going through that "rare" phase while he collects Godzilla stuff. Too cute.
