Its huge haha. Too big for jewelry per my wife and my sister who I showed it to. Oh well haha. I started it large not knowing if it would break or chip away but it was very solid. Soft and easily consumed but solid. Thank you for the cabbing advice Jugglerguy - I just took it slow and careful on the wheels and tried not to over work it. I'm thrilled with how it turned out.

Looks great, Tommy! I'm so used to seeing tumbles and hand polishes. Your cab looks so shiny! Its a really nice one, too. I like petoskey stones a lot. I wouldn't mind finding some rough for my own cabs.

Come on, man, you had to know it was coming... I'd like to know where you got the notion that it was OK to get that song stuck in my head for the rest of the day week...

Oh crap, I didn't mean to send that one to you. Could you send it back please? As my kid would say... nope nope nope nope. Thanks again Rob. I didn't know if you wanted to be 'outed' as the source but thank you again - I love trying new materials and it's been a fun working with this one.

Great polish! Especially for a petoskey.

super shine on that pet-oskey rock! Not easy to get a polish that good on them!
several months back, I bartered some silver work for a MFRB of decent sized ones and some of them were killer! I even sawed one lengthwise just to see how they looked that way and was pleasantly surprised!

I love the Petoskey. That is one nice cab. Why is it too large, per say? I still have some nice ones waiting to be finished.

Tommy - awesome shine on that cab. I didn't expect it for Petosky. BTW, I did not click on that video. I hated Disco when it was current. Lynn

I haven't measured it but I would estimate 55mm x 50mm? I think it's too big to wire wrap - with any normal length bail it would be hanging pretty low by the time she got a cord on it. Wouldn't want it sitting sideways right?

I was into rock and roll to my core growing up and the eventual death of disco could not come soon enough for me. Now it seems to be just another cherished part of my childhood - I find myself singing along when a classic BeeGee's song comes on - surprising how I know all the words to those old disco songs right? haha Not sure I can explain it.
