Fall forward and Spring back! DTS does not save a single second. Instead it wastes time fiddling with all those clocks. Give people the freedom to get up two to four hours early to play golf if they want. Let's stop messing with the clocks. Noon is when the sun is exactly overhead regardless of what those mechanicals say anyway.

I have never understood the reasoning... It is easier to swap working or school hours than to swap the clocks and makes more sense. But when confronted with a bureaucracy...

I heard several years ago how much outdoor cooking revenue was generated in California alone by this simple hour of time adjustment, it was in the hundreds of thousands. Like too many things, so much of it boils down to the almighty dollar.

Like too many things, so much of it boils down to the almighty dollar. I think you mean later sunsets allowing for more grill time selling grills and consumables. Well, I think there is zero chance it's increased sales by "hundreds of thousands". Nope. More likely hundreds of millions. And that effect is nationwide. I see far more grills and smokers in stick at THD in Ohio and Colorado than in Cali. Cali sells them year round. Ohio probably has a 5 month season. I think I helped make your point though. 😎 What we haven't learned is why they switch it back in the fall? Car accident and sick time in the workplace both increase for a few weeks after the "fall back". Harmful to the economy indeed.
