That desk gets me every time. Love it. Maybe I'll try to accelerate rust thru electrolysis to achieve similar texture faster. Dang it's nice.

The Carlson brothers(Carlson Muffler) were closing their machine shop down and liquidating. Funny old guys in their 80's. They had metal stock racks sitting out side. One of the racks had about 50 twenty foot strips of this 3" X 3/8" old style bull nose steel strip on it. I carried the whole lot home. Must have been on the rack 50 years according to those coots. Old pitted steel like that sells for pennies. Unusable for most fabrication. Valuable on the art market. world record pits, like fine wine. Framable. Bout used it up:
