The cats will suck your breath away
I think Wooferhound 's been reading too many Stephen King novels! There was a movie with a very young Drew Barrymore about cat's stealing breaths. Cat's Eye, 1985.
But if I recall, it was the cat that saved her. It was a troll that tried to steal her breath, the cat fought it off!
In case you missed the movie, here is just the troll sequence

I've seen that one, rockpickerforever. That's exactly why the boys got a cat, instead of a troll, for Christmas.

Good idea, Randy! Lol. But I bet you wouldn't have had to drive to Alaska for a troll... Probably more than a few of them available around Kentucky.

I have a theory that they don't actually like intoxicated people though. It seems, the more you drink, they tend to disappear.

YES! Video's of cute kitten antics!
I went to adopt a pet website and saved my search criteria for kittens that come up for adoption in my area. They send me an email. Unfortunately, most of the ones available come from the SPCA and they don't post pictures. How are you supposed to find a home for an animal without even a picture? How hard is it to do that?

No pictures of kittens up for adoption? How stupid is that? I mean, those kittens would get adopted much more quickly, if prospective adopters could see how cute they are. Or are they adopting out ugly kittens? (Just kidding, no such thing as an ugly kitten - or puppy.)
Speaking of, my younger (impulsive) sister wanted to adopt another kitten. She got one a couple years ago, guess she wants it to have a playmate? I don't know. She wasn't seeing anything that enthused her, so she decided to get a puppy instead. She asked my dad and brother if they cared, they didn't, as they weren't going to be taking care of it. (No surprise there.)
She knew somebody whose bitch had puppies last month (12/12/17), and the mom was refusing to nurse them. So they have been bottle feeding them, and the pups are now starting to eat soaked food. My sister picked this one out (female, of course!) and was going to just put a deposit on her and come back and get her. Since her momma is not nursing her now anyway, my sister just decided to take her home now instead of waiting.
This is Grayce. She is a blue-nosed pit bull.
There is already a seven or eight year old female pit bull in the household, Riley.
Riley is a sweetheart, typical pit bull. Riley has accepted her, although she doesn't like being followed around all the time, lol. I understand that, as there has never been a younger dog in the house until now!

We've now had this fella for a couple months. He's made a great sparring partner for our mini Aussie and entertained us with all his kitten antics. Time for a photo update.
Ash, 3 months

I want! My problem is I want a kitty that has no prospect for a home. I want a kid to knock on the door with box of kitties. Every time I think we will get one- we don't!

All my prior cats have been strays or picked up from the pound. Paying for a cat was a foreign idea to me too. My daughter found some kittens under a bush with a feral mom. She brought them in and I got dibs on one- well she decided to keep both of them! (Did I say that already? I feel like I did.) We haven't run across anymore since then. I do have a line on a pregnant cat, though. We'll see what happens. I think the mother is Siamese, though. Don't want a Siamese.
