I have a bunch of amazing rocks I found while hiking in AZ. They are flat and look like sheet rocks. I want to use them for a plate on a pop up dinner I am doing in December. I have no experience with polishing rocks or anything of the sort but am super interested and want to turn this into my hobby for the off times from work! I know this is probably a huge task to take on early, but I really wanna dive in so I can start making beauty out of things most people just walk past! I can take photos if needed as I am not even sure what kind of rocks they are or if this is even possible! Anything and everything will be a huge help!

Hello Chef!
Thanks for joining us. We always enjoy fun and creative projects.
Sadly, not all stones polish. And those that don't may not make good plates. Others may be toxic.
Please post images of your finds so we can help you sort out details.
