toiv0 is that rock pile over by the San Jacinto Sand Pits? Yes, it is 18214 east river rd, Just a stone throw were Jeremy showed me to hunt the San Jacinto. I didn't find any Palm but lots of nice wood. If I am the one to do the job and we do it there instead of Crockett I will collect a bucket or two a night.

There should be a bit of Palm there. Found a couple of small pieces there with Jeremy. They were a bit difficult to recognize.
Crockett should be in the Wood belt and if you could find the right place you should be able to get into decent stuff. This is probably a good time of year, no hunters, no ticks or other critters and the spring growth has not started. East of Crockett is the Crockett National Forest. Never hunted there and I think there's a lot of poorly marked private land in the Forrest. Private Land in Texas = Trouble. I have reports of big pieces of Palm being found there on some of the creeks that run through the Forrest.
Good luck, Henry

Billy, you are one lucky dude! You get paid to play with the dirt and then get access to the pre-sorted rock piles! I know the governmental agencies have made your access more difficult, so glad you were able to hop on that pile! Too bad you can't bring a friend or two........

If I am the one to do the project I think I can get you in while I am there.
