Looking back, I see that I haven't posted any tumbles since November. I did shut down for a while during the sub-zero temps we experienced this winter. I have, though, finished three batches since that time and figured I would grab the camera and show what I've been up to. Here's a pretty good sampling:

Sorry for the over abundance of photos. Will try not to get so many in future threads. For any newer members that may have comments or questions, please use the 'reply' prompt and not the 'quote' prompt, which will re-post all these photos again. I feel guilty enough, as is.

1 thru 34 are great but 21 and 26 are favorites. What are the ones in picture 21?

Nice stuff as usual Randy Garage Rocker. Great variety and the photos are A-1. Do I see some Lavic in there? Hmmm, now where's that Kentucky agate that "someone" sent me? Good job. Dave

Thanks for the fine show. I'd have to go with 33, very nice color and most unusual pattern.

Very nice.....
On the Blue Lace Agate....#2, I assume they were tumbled....rotary or vibe or both....?
How did you reduce the undercutting of the softer "white" material....?.....I noticed some of yours still showed signs of it, but a whole lot less then mine turned out.
What material did you mix with that Agate....I tried other Agates, didn't go well for the Lace.
Thanks for the pic's.

Badass
Does 26 have a vug or is the center full of exceptionally clear agate? Could be either from the pic and I saw the latter at class last week.

What material did you mix with that Agate....I tried other Agates, didn't go well for the Lace. Thanks for the pic's. Thank you! The blue lace was one of the more finicky tumbles I've tried lately. It tends to develop cracks, or hairline vugs, as it grinds. It took some brushing out to keep grit from moving on from step to step. I rotary tumbled the first stage and then moved on to the Lot O for finishing. It was tumbled with all the other material in these pics. I don't believe it would have done any better if tumbled on it's own. Just the nature of the material. There were some rejects that didn't make it, and others that just tumbled away to tiny pieces. The ones that made it are not all perfect, but still nice looking tumbles. Good luck with yours.

If you see Lavic, it would be in #12. Not sure what those are. I had others that aren't pictured. There were too many tumbles to photo them all. Now, go find that KY agate and give it a go!

If I recall correctly, the piece was pretty large, so I'll have to roll it on the saw. Unless, of course, I can get back to Scott's class and use some of their larger saws. I wan't to avoid hitting it with a hammer. ETA: What is 23? I just pulled a finished batch today, and I have a rock (probably came from you) that looks almost identical. Makes me wonder if you cut it, and I got a piece of it.

"What is 23? I just pulled a finished batch today, and I have a rock (probably came from you) that looks almost identical. I do tend to tumble half and give the other half away. You may very well have the twin. Look forward to seeing it.
