Very nice. Is it just the photos, or does that have a semi gloss finish with some texture remaining? I feel that type of finish shows of Mary Ellen the best.

Very nice sir! I have to admit that I'm still hoarding a little bit of the premium ME I got from you. Every now and I pull it out and look at it and say naaah... I may cab this someday, but not today.

It actually has a pretty high gloss that I can't show with my camera If you haven't yet, try photographs in the shade or indirect sunlight (near a window, for instance) in the home. That's the quick and easy way, but a lightbox or tent can also work (not always foolproof, and the light source is important). I can't recall the exact reason, but direct sunlight typically won't allow a camera to pick up the shine, as you noted. That's the main reason that most of us that photograph our tumbles don't do the photos in direct sunlight. ETA: I just saw your thread about the glass you're tumbling, and the photos in there look pretty good. Was that indoors? Maybe try photographing the cab there to see if there is a difference...if it's important to you.

I keep threatening to build a light box. I am going to put it towards the top of my list.

I think I received a slab of that material last year, maybe from you. Recently, this past week, I decided to go outside on my back porch and bust the slab into tumbling pieces. I think I did an alright job, not completely shattering the slab. Now they're rolling in the tumbler with some other material. We will see how they turn out....
